Hi everyone!
I'm Jen, a 26 year old from Calgary, AB, Canada. I'm in Las Vegas right now preparing to leave for Central America to teach English (of course this can be delayed for another year if I get the job!).
I think I'd be a great Paradise Hunter and here are a few reasons why:
While I haven't traveled a ton, I have been to some pretty neat places; from touring all over the English countryside; to some amazing castles in Scotland; from one coast of Canada to the other; through most of the western United States; and down to Cuba.
Wherever I go I end up having a blast - whether it's renting a scooter in Cuba to drive along the gorgeous coast while dodging traffic with seemingly no rules, or having a luau on Shuswap Lake in British Columbia, I always have a fabulous time.
Everywhere I've been I've met incredible, fun, enthusiastic people who've instilled in me the desire to learn about other cultures - that's why I decided to get my CELTA, to teach English as a second language.
It helps that I'm fluent in English and French, have a basic knowledge of Sign Language and am a beginner in Spanish - great skills for getting to know locals wherever I am!
