After surviving breast cancer at age 24, I realized how lucky I am to have a second chance at life. It had always been my dream to travel the world, and after finishing my chemotherapy 11 years ago, I made a promise to myself to travel to as many countries and have as many experiences as I could.

I am a professional musician (electric violinist) and have played with artists including Gnarls Barkley, Alanis Morrisette and Mary J. Blige. As a breast cancer spokesperson, I've appeared on shows such as The Today Show, Lifetime and The Montel Williams Show.

I still crave new adventures, travelling to exotic places and exploring other cultures.

I don't know where I want to end up, but hopefully after a year of travelling, I will find my little piece of paradise and begin the next phase of my life with all kinds of memories and new friends that I've made along the way.

I hope to inspire people to travel and live out their dream.
